A simple meatloaf recipe for the bustling cook

Meatloaf can be made in as many different ways as there are cooks. This simple meatloaf recipe is my favorite and can be altered to suit your preferences. Start with a basic recipe and customize it for your family by adding spices from the list below. You can change the meat and flavors utilized.

Ground beef is used in my meatloaf recipe to keep it simple. Ground beef, ground pork, or ground veal are often used together by many cooks. In some mixes, sausage is used. Pork, veal, or sausage should be used for every one pound of beef if you want a variety of meats.

This recipe is quick and simple to make because the spices are chopped up with seasoned Italian breadcrumbs. I don't even measure anything, in fact. I simply throw the fixings together utilizing a suitable measure of each. You can add more ketchup if it's too dry. This recipe for meatloaf is foolproof and extremely simple.

Simple recipe for meatloaf

1/2 lb ground chuck, 3/4 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs, 2 eggs, finely chopped large onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, optional garlic and onion powder, 1/4 cup crap, plus more if desired, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, optional but good 1. Preheat stove to 375 degrees F.

  • Mix all of the ingredients in a large baking dish or baking dish.
  • Make a loaf shape with it.
  • Prepare at 375° for 1 hour or until done.
  • During the final twenty minutes of baking, I like to spread ketchup over the top.

You can attempt different flavors, for example, slashed ringer pepper, cleaved celery leaves, minced parsley and thyme. Try substituting a finely chopped apple for the sausage and omitting the Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and garlic. Assuming you need, you can add little hacked vegetables like potatoes, carrots or peas. A few cooks add cleaved olives or slashed cucumbers or hard-bubbled eggs. You can supplant the feline with canned soup and pour it over while baking. There are countless variations.

The next day, if you have any leftovers from this simple meatloaf recipe, they make a delicious sandwich filling, but don't count on it. It is devoured by my family.
